Helping Residents Find their Inner Passions

Emily Allen comes from a family of caregivers and a teacher, so she is a well-prepared natural in her new role as Stoney River Ramsey’s Community Life Coordinator. This position is key to creating Stoney River’s award-winning VIVA! lifestyle—one that celebrates life and inspires the pursuit of passion and purpose.

Emily may be new to Stoney River, but her experience nurturing and bringing joy to others goes way back. “Taking care of others and creating meaningful experiences has always been my passion,” says Emily. “I grew up in the world of helping others; with my parents owning a group home, my mom working for hospice and my dad being a teacher. For me, helping residents continue to live their journey, to enjoy life and to help find their inner ballerina or soldier are my favorite parts of being a Community Life Coordinator.”

Whether supporting a resident’s desire to milk a cow, ride a bicycle or share a passion for wood working, Emily is all in with heart and enthusiasm. “In my leisure time, I like to make handmade jewelry, cards and wood-burned goods, as well as spend as much time as I can on the lake boating,” says Emily. “I’m so excited to be at Stoney River Ramsey to learn new things from our residents and gain new and exciting experiences!”

Emily graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Community/Non-Profit Recreation and Tourism and has previous experience in assisted living and memory care.
